About Our Society
Purpose
& Aim
The purpose of the Society is to represent the Catholic students at the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo and to coordinate all the activities organised by Catholics at NUST in Bulawayo.
Who Can Be A Member
The Society consists of all the NUST students in Bulawayo who are baptised (or willing to be baptised) in the Catholic Church and confess the Christian faith as it is expressed in the Apostles Creed.

How to sanitize your mind and body during your years at university ...the answer lies in these two words Nust Cathsoc....Funny enough it was introduced to me while we were stealing guavas by a friend who was its president that time .l decided to taste it maybe it tasted more than the guavas in the hand, vowed that l will do it for this week and if it is boring will never set my foot again. Surprisingly not only the foot is there now but the whole body . Many good memories will always linger in the head. I hope one day , you will join me in saying words

​CathSoc has become more than just a place of prayer but a full basket of love,fun,worship and companionship .It has always been difficult for most people to balance social life and spiritual life. Years back I was asked how my social life affected my spiritual life, I stammered because the effect was negative and weakened my spiritual life.Today I can firmly say it has a positive impact in my life because the cathsoc family is my social and spiritual life and I have become a stronger Christian because of the family.

​Always heard of NUST Cathsoc from those who came to NUST before me as a family of students that no student has to miss out. Joining NUST Cathsoc in 2016.. i witnessed myself that apart from growing Catholic faith & spiritual formation, the Cathsoc is in deed a family from home. All the fun,the social interactions, they managed to kindle the youth in me. I wouldn't be honest with myself if i don't point out that it was Cathsoc that introduced me to NMCS which is a collection of all the Cathsocs from all the other tertiary institutions this has enhanced my life as a student in Uni... this is an experience that no student should miss out
